Chris represented one of eight wrongful-death victims in the multi-district federal litigation arising from the Amtrak derailment in Philadelphia, resulting in a historic $265 million recovery.
His results have been featured in the New York Law Journal’s “Top Verdicts” and “Top Settlements” (2011–2025), including ALM/Verdict Search’s recognition of the highest construction-accident tort result in the Northeast in 2022 ($24,750,000). In 2025, he obtained a $26.5 million recovery—among the largest negligence-case results in Suffolk County Supreme Court history.
His success also extends to arbitration, where he secured the largest American Arbitration Association award in New York State history for damages in a SUM motor-vehicle case.
Chris is a member of of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum was named a Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Lawyer by The National Trial Lawyers. He was named a NY Super Lawyer—an honor reserved for the top 5% of attorneys.
Chris serves on the Board of Directors of the NYS Academy of Trial Lawyers and is a Dean for its Continuing Legal Education Trial Skills programs. He serves on the board of the NYC Lawyers Alliance. Chris is admitted to practice and argue before the U.S. Supreme Court and was selected to serve on the Judicial Screening Committee for New York’s highest court, the Court of Appeals. Chris has served as an adjunct professor teaching trial advocacy at St. John’s Law School.
Previously, he was a homicide prosecutor in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office. During his tenure, he tried a multitude of jury trials - including high-profile murder cases - to verdict with an astounding success rate. . Chris has appeared on T.V., radio and in print, including CBS Channel 2, ABC Channel 7, News 12, 1010 WINS, and Newsday.
Chris is committed to giving back—both locally and globally—through active service and support of charitable organizations. He serves as a chapter leader with Catholic Relief Services and supports MADD, Water.org, American Cancer Society, and local outreach initiatives and soup kitchens. In his community, Chris has also dedicated years to coaching youth sports, including softball and basketball.
